NOMOPOLIS

International Journal of Law and Politics

Who are we ?

Nomopolis is an international journal of law and political science. It publishes one issue per year available in open access. It is the result of a project by the Centre Jean Bodin, the legal and political research laboratory of the University of Angers.

The project

The project of this online journal was born from two observations made by the researchers of the Centre Jean Bodin. The first is that legal and political disciplines in all their diversity deserve to be associated in a multidisciplinary perspective. This diversity can be expressed in a coherent and enlightening way on contemporary issues. The second is that the requirements of research diffusion mean that scientific journals now opt for a digital format.

Journal

Nomopolis is an open-access journal published once a year. Each issue includes a dossier resulting from a call for thematic papers. The journal also publishes articles outside of the dossier in a Varia section. All articles sent to the editorial board are selected by a committee following a double-blind peer review process.

The Centre Jean Bodin is a legal and political research laboratory. It hosts a multidisciplinary team of private law, public law, history of law and political science. This team is composed of 53 full members, 46 phd students and 4 administrative staff.
